Why Not Weaver?

For those of you who pay attention to the Tigers, please answer me this:  Why aren’t the Tigers trying to sign Jeff Weaver?  Yes, I realize you traded him once (netting you Pena & Bonderman), but why aren’t you making that move.  I understand why the Yankees aren’t—he flopped there.  But he pitched well in Detroit, and he’s pitched well in LA.  Both are pitchers parks.  And I need something better than “They already signed Kenny Rogers.”  Has he said he’d never return?  His demands can’t be too much worse than Rogers.  I don’t understand why a guy as competitive as Weaver hasn’t been approached by Dombrowski.
