Undefeated No More

Well, today has certainly been interesting.  Pitt loses for the first time.  I didn’t get to see that one.  I did watch the Duke-Georgetown game, which thankfully Georgetown won 87-84.  I don’t know how many people watched the end of the game, but I noticed something interesting.  As soon as the final horn sounded, the students rushed the floor.  This isn’t exactly a surprise, as it’s become somewhat common.  In this case, I think it’s somewhat justified, as it was the first time the Hoyas beat a #1 team in 21 years.

Here’s the funny thing.  In among the people that stormed the floor was a guy in a wheelchair.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad he was pumped up over the whole thing and was able to get there.  He even found a couple of guys to high-five.  My questions are these:  Who’s the security guy that couldn’t stop the guy in the wheelchair?  If you can’t stop him, who can you stop?  Exactly what good are you?  I gotta believe that dude’s gonna catch hell from the rest of the security staff, assuming he’s got the guts to show up again.

Boy, this has been a good day for me.  Tennessee just knocked off Florida (another team I’m not a big fan of).  If Louisville can beat UConn, it’ll be just a great day all the way around.

OK, that might be, but you kept it sports related, so props to you for that. There's a lot of Steeler fans down here (including Kevin, who will likely stick a comment in here), and since the Panthers are out, I'm free to pull for whoever I want. I'm OK with either on.
